hi there guys, i start wondering after i saw a picture on here of a vortex charger with a schrink, the MFA was situated before the charger, as you can see below. (sorry i haven't asked the owner if i could link the picture ) Where if you look at the second picture, this is how my charger is set up, with the mfa lower down. Was wondering which position is better? or it doesn't matter? or is it due to picture one being a OBD1 and mine being a OBD2 ? Also quick question, a good induction to use for a Z engineering charger ? I'm using a pipercross foam type at the moment. Sorry if i sound stupid,

i just have put in a new coil pack and mfa today, blimeee has it changed the car, i can't believe its the same car, it was quick before but now its like a beast. Where is the Cam Position Sensor? don't know much about that. -

As the title says, anyone know where and have any pictures? I've done a search and all the results that i have been through have been for a obd1 engine. I don't know if its due to having 268 cams or its the Idle valve playing up, which is causes it to sound gurgly/missing when idling or could it be it requires tunning?? (it hasn't been to see vince yet to set up the charger) Best way to sort the idle valve out is to clean them by using carb cleaner ? thanks in advance

i have a scorpion exhaust with a de cat bypass, with piper cams n charger, it gurgels like a american muscle car love it, sweet n smooth as anything and roars/howls when you put your foot down, I don't have a air filter/induction kit on it yet Had a powerflow exhaust system on my last Vr that sounded awesome, regarding power you don't get much power i think.(maybe a little)

hi there guys, come back to having a mk3 vr6, but this time with a Z engineering supercharger. Its had some work done, as superchip, piper cams, de cat pipe etc. My problem is yesterday the charger started to make a noise, like a little squeek. Then i drove about later on the day put my foot down a little and when i parked up it was making a worse noise, like it was grinding a little. Looked at her, and saw the tensioner(the thing that is oval and turns)which is attached to the charger, the bolt had come loose and was touching the side of the engine a little. to tell u the truth, i have seen white residue like creamy stuff in the coolant (in the round holder) dont knw if u call that the expansion tank. I've had problem with the coolant also, been losing coolant very slowly, its visible slowly on the pipes, whitey when dried.. don't know,. need help lol big timee

hi there guys, theres a noise coming when i drive, its like a whiniee noise, the noise u get like u reverse at hi speed.(quite fast) but the noise is appearing when i am driving, mech thinks its the gearbox &| and also noticed some like oilish liquid near the head gasket, he goes thats a sign of it going... i need your help guys, i am having problem after problem... is it the gearbox? if so how much to replace and same with the head gasket, am i better of like selling it ? need urgent help guys, know anyone in like mm west london who could have a look at it. thanks in advance shazz

hi there guys, just had my clutch done and need the alignment of the wheels and all that sorted out.. just have a quick question that i'm going to be purchasing some wheels within a week, after they are fitted will the tracking and alignment need doing again ? if so i will just get it done the once.... Oh yeh 1 more question, should i change my pads and discs when i get the wheels (9.5 back, 8.5 front) or stick to the standard VW setup... as i have read it is debatable... thanks guys !lol

i been having the same problem, on a k plate, out the blew even when accelerating it would cut out, but would restart straight away. have u been driving on low petrol or reserve ? check ur fuel filter.

ticking in the sense the car doesn't start ? or it churns and doesn't start ? i had a problem when out the blue it wouldn't start and i could hear a ticking noise like a machine gun, thought it was the starter motor but ended up being the battery. Voltage on the batter was showing 12.5 and then dropped to 11.5 jus changed the battery car sorted starts. (check the coil pack there is a guide i think)

sometimes when i start the car or be driving the car would like lose revs and slowly and then cut out, engine goes off, but i am able to restart straight away. (when dieing out it feels like the feeling u get when there is no fuel left and dies out, fuel pump? !dodge ). I am totally lost on this, don't know what it could be, don't know if its a common thing on vr's. (mines a k plate, 82k vr) any help guys thanks in advance

Hi there guys, had my vr since march (ish), loved it at first but since like two months, i have had problem after problem and its killed my pocket, (as its my day to day runner)... Just had a new clutch, lead and plugs changed, and a lil tune up. There is a problem with the fuel consumption, for the past 3 months, its been drinking more and more fuel. Now sometimes i put 10 pound petrol and i might get like 11 miles, on a good day like 30miles. This is leading me to think of selling it, but i dont want to love the car to bits. Any idea ? (i had the cat and sensor changed at powerflow) my mech
