    4000rpm is fine by me, i thought it would of been a bit more laggy than that.... do you reckon i'll be able to squeeze more than 500hp out of it? big numbers i know lol

    has anybody heard or had any experiences with these cams on a vr6? as i've just brought a set for my vr6 and i don't know much about them. techtonics tuning 268 checking height = .050 intake & exhaust lobe centre sep = 115.8 valve overlap = -5.4 intake valve opening = -2.7 lobe centre = 114.9 valve closure = 46 duration = 223.3 max cam lift = .44795 exhaust valve opening = 50 lobe centre = 116.7 valve clos

    i heard in order for them to do it they need to fabricate a new gearbox and a make modifiactions to the chassis as for the engine i heard it was just bored out 3.2 engine with a stroke less than a cm longer than the original (96.5 vs. 95.9 mm)

    there's not much difference on a stock engine to be honest just the added advantage of the increased limiter, so i took mine off for a while, replaced my cat with 2.25" straight through pipe and added bmc. i noticed big difference in performance then i wacked on the chip and noticed a MASSIVE performance increase!! faster than ctr's, 330's, st225 etc

    nah, its working properly cause when i raised the back the other day ti stopped doing it, oh by the way my car very low at the mo, i'm still riding on my original 15's.

    hi, i have 93 L plate vr6 and i need to know how to adjust rear brake bias valve, i know where it is and how to get it, i just dont know how to adjust it. since i've lowered my car with fk coilovers my rear brakes have started locking up very easily, they lock up a lot easier and quicker than the fronts do, if anyone could point in the right direction on how to adjust them i would be very grateful.

    went from london to milton keynes today and all was fine, it only seems to happen on long journeys, any ideas, gonna get it hooked up to vag next week

    hi matt, thanks for the reply its definatly not the alternator, i was hoping it was gonna be something small, because about 6 months ago the car started stalling regurly until it stop starting, i traced that back to the petrol pump relay, changed it and everything was fine, if worse comes to worse i'll take it to stealth, whats there prices like?

    hi i'm new to the site, i have 93 vr6 and recently on long journeys from say london to birmingham my car has started stalling on the motorway, it'll probaly do it 2-3 times there and the same on the way back, when it does it, the engine will cut out for about 3-5 seconds then come back to life like nothing happened, all the electrics are still on and working and if you press the gas while its stalled you'll here an induction sound but thats it, i've also noticed that if i keep my speed above 80mph it doesnt do it, and i think the cars feels a bit slower, any help would be gratefully appreciate

    don't slate it for being a fiat but the fiat coupe 20v turbo plus will probaly be my next car, it has 2 litre turbo 5 cylinder engine producing 220hp and 310nm of tourque, it does 0-60 in 6 seconds and tops out at 155mph and you can get one for way less than 10 grand, they call it the poor mans ferrari it also designed pinafirina 8o)

    just to get rough idea of the performance gains what do you estimate 0 - 60 time was before and after the chip and how does it effect drivabilty?

    i had a 306 gti 6 try it with me yesterday, we were at the traffic lights on an empty dual carriage way, the lights went green and we both took off at the same time, by the end of my first gear he had dropped back to my rear bumper, and thats were he stayed all the way up to 80mph when we then had to slow down for some traffic lights, he turned left i went straight, he looked very upset , i do i have to admit his car sounded amazing and it was going through the gears like a motorbike, my cars completly standard by the way 8o)

    it turned out that the thermostat was stuck shut, got a new one fitted and the engine cleaned a degreased for £65, the car is now running like a dream, thanks 4 all your help guys

    thanks for all your help guys, i got it booked in today at my local vw specalist, he reckons its the water pump, just gotta wait and see :|

    where does your water temp sit? does it sit bang in the middle of the guage because mine doesn't, it sits about 3/4 to the right just before the 110 mark on the water temp guage and its this that is worrying me, the water pump went on my mums bmw and it never use to show signs of overheating but when i noticled a blue/white smoke from the exhausts i got it checked out, only to find out that the headgasket was on its way out and cylinder head had a hairline fracture, quite big bill at the end of the day, so i would say i'm bit cautious because of this and definatly would'nt want that to happen
