good shock and spring set-up is the only wat imo to do it on a budget. springs alone will make it bouncier than a bouncy thing from bouncyville! u need to look at spending around 300 on matched springs/shox tbh!
-
try justmatz or have a look on ebay, they do appear sometimes on there, in fact ther is one on there at this moment

vr6 rich had one of the fk ones and tbh i think he wasnt 100% happy with the fit or finish. you only get what you pay for tbh, and it often shows!
-
c'mon, this is getting boring now! :-p
-
yes, i am indeed steve!
-
will this do ya?
-
what sort of budget you after? try fk, they do spring/shox kits as well as coilovers for reasonable money! sounds like just normal wear and tear on the car tho tbh, they are heavy on suspension components vr's if you dont replace or upgrade the standard set-up!

fuckers, i hate inconsiderate drivers with no vision! having ridden bikes myself, i think it should be part of the car test to at least take your cbt b4 u get a car license as it makes you so much more aware of what goes on around you! glad to see thay walked away tho, so many dont even get back up from spills like that!
-
me too. have already cracked this with the hpa one, will see what happens!
-
i'll be going to see mi-3 on wednesday and then x men as soon as i can!

you can buy the pro tool from here http://www.frost.co.uk/item_Detail.asp?productID=9108but its not cheap. but then you could lend it out to mates and others for a small fee and recoup some of the expenditure!

i try not to park my car in chav infested areas! and theres nothing to say you cant hide them lower down fella!
-
for the best off axis performance and sound the tweeter in a component set-up should be no more than 6-8 inches away from the mid woofer cone. ideally speaking of course!
-
what you trying to say si,lol? nice plates by the way fella!
-
To be fair theres no problem with it being lhd - you get used to it really quickly - i think it would spoil the originality of the car if it was converted tbh :-)
and besides, you drive like a fanny anyway, so its just another excuse to add to the cause warren, lol!

how old is the suspension kit fella? does the backend feel very light during the squirmy sessions? i cant imagine its the suspension set up as its a reknowned set up that works, especially with the arb's as well. maybe your wishbones bushes need doing and maybe the rear beam bushes too if it feels like its getting a little "drifty" out back! have you ever had the set up aligned, and thena agin since it that was a few miles ago, cmaber and tracking need doing periodically to keep the setup working as it should as things do wear!
-
i would also say if its not plugs and leads and it has one, the coil packs on these cars are another reknowned failure and cause a misfire underload. it wont do it in the workshop unless really bad but is real noticeable on the road, going up incline and coming out of roundabouts in to high a gear are prime examples to test! try the plugs and leads first tho as they are the cheaper option, or get it on a 1552 machine as 6pot says!

why dont you give awesome gti a ring ben on +44 (0)161 776 0777. the sell jom products, tho the website doesnt list a grill for the mk3 i'm sure they could easily get you one!

tbh, the polishers you see in most bodyshops are just rotational jobbies. thats whats so handy about the pc and why it gets a lot of excellent reports. its an orbital polisher which means it doesnt just spin on the same axis, it rotates up and down and side to side. i'm not saying you cant strip paint to primer with it, but its not as easy as it is with an industrial mopper! the site above on skanky's reply is a good one to go to for advice on using the pc tho! its still a good price and a group discount would go someway to offsetting the import duties levvied!

thought the intake side was enlarged kev? thats the only bit of my amd tb that was enlarged on my obd1 tb, so i thought that this would be the part on the obd2's that was already of similar proportions, and the reason you cant currently get an enlarged version of the obd2 tb. not having an obd2 to compare i could of course be mistaken, but this was what i have been led to believe!
