Andy Mac 1
My insurance renewal is due at the end of next month and just shopping around for quotes. So far Direct Line have quoted £735, Bell £575 and Admiral £561. These quotes have all come from the inetrnet. Are there any other companies where I may get insurance any cheaper. I am 22 with 3 years NCB with a 96 Golf VR6.

Andy Mac 1
Thanks fellas. To get the discounts is it best to get a quote over the phone rather than internet. Also, do you have any contact details for Brentacre?

goonersteve 0
Thanks fellas. To get the discounts is it best to get a quote over the phone rather than internet. Yeah you can always blag a cheaper quote over the phone. Especially if you either:A) get a bird on the other end who is a sucker for complimentsor get a bloke who is well into his cars, or you could try footy, that's always a good'un On a more serious note, you will get a cheaper quote over the phone if you say you've had a cheaper quote elsewhere. Sounds obvious i know, but you would be surprised how many people don't bother tryin it! Also make sure you check the details of what you are covered for, because a few insurers will replace vehicles / parts like-for-like, but most will only replace with standard parts. E.g. if you had a Miltek exhaust which was damaged in a shunt, they would only replace it with a standard VW one. So the insurer with cheapest quote isn't necessarily the best to go for.
