ThermalP4 1
After a brief drive in the VR i can hear a rather loud bubbling sound coming from under the bonnet, passenger side. Poopped the bonnet and noticed the coolant level was about an inch and a half over max line?Popped the bonnet this morning afetr leaving it overnight and the Coolant level is still quite a way over the max line.Surely that shoudlnt be like that? mk3anni 0
Wellllllll, either your coolant has been over filled, so you can just drain it off, or your head gasket has gone and you have oil in the water, which would be a slightly bigger job than just letting some coolant out. matth76 1
Thermal, its normal for the coolant to be an inch over the max line when its hot. However when it's cooled down it should go back to the max line (assuming thats where it was filled to). Sounds as though it may have been slightly overfilled... keep an eye on it. Be more worried if it starts going down with no obvious leaks - that would be a sign of a dodgy head gasket.

Realy nice Mulberry Highline with superb bodywork and 90K on the clock.I'll keep an eye on it.Should it make a bubbling sound though?
