Lugg 0
Okay....another problem!!!My 1994 vr6 blew the top hose from the cylinder head outlet. Made approx. a 4 inch split. Changed hose, changed headre tank, cap and did coolant flush. Now, when I have been driving it hard/for a while, hot coolant come out of the bleed hole on the top of the tank. Any idea's would be gratefully recieved!! (i)
spanky 0
It may be just blowing off excess coolant. How far did you fill it up? How much does the header tank empty itself?
dellert 0
Mine blew off some coolant too. As the coolant heats it expands so if you fill it up to maximum or above it will probably dump some.
Lugg 0
Cheers 4 the help!!When i filled it, I got it up to max when the car was hot, with the heater controls fully opened. When the cap is on, and the system pressurised, the level drops way down, yet when the car gets hot, it still leaks from the tank? *-)
