Earwig 89 Posted May 30, 2006 Report Share Posted May 30, 2006 Do they just pull off?My car is having standard mirror put back on to replace the M3 mirrors that are on it. But the standard mirrors are on my girlfriends GTI and we cannot spare both cars at the shop so they are spraying the M3 mirrors to her car color and I thought it would be easier for me to take the covers off the standard so they can spray them to my cart color and then I swap the mirrors over myself.... But I can't get the covers off and I don't want to force it ! :@ Also are changing mirrors as a whole fairly easy? Both are electric......Mark. Link to post Share on other sites
richievr 1 Posted June 5, 2006 Report Share Posted June 5, 2006 you need to remove the glass first GENTLY prise it off forwards with a samll flat blade or a little hook tool..if you angle it all the way toward the ground makes it easier to get in behind itthen you can release the tabs and pop it off Link to post Share on other sites
