jonvr6highline 0
Just noticed today in this heavy rain that it is wet on the carpet, behind passenger seat. Any ideas where it could be coming in, apart from the rubber seal around the passenger door. Its a 3 door door by the way. Are there any rubber grommets to look out for? Thanks in advance! shail 0
My mate had this on his 3 door Golf. Turned out to be a broken pipe which carries the washer fluid to the rear wash/wipe. I think the pipe makes its way behind the rear door card if memory serves me.

jezmoz 0
it was his rear cluster seal i think, also check all door cards and rubber seals, as well as sun roof and scutlle panel for blockages
jonvr6highline 0
hi guys' date=' ive just noticed i have this problem too behind my passenger seat. My car is a door though, only noticed it in this heavy rain. Jonvr6highline, have u sourced the problem yet??[/quote']Yes I know what it was now. I had put smoked M3 lights on back of my car. The water was getting in through rear lights and running down into boot through to rear footwell. My cure was taking the lights off, drying them out and the car. Putting them back on with the original seals from the original lights. The seals were about twice the thickness to the ones that came with the M3 lights. Made sure I done the nuts up fully. It has since rained and no more leaks - Excellent!

c4mbl 1
was my sunroof seal, fixing soon!!
andygti39 0
i had this problem on a previous mk3 golf and it turned out to be the membrane behind the door panel, if your car has had some work done inside the door and somebody has ripped it from the bottom it will leak in, you should always remove it from the top and leave it on along the bottom so that is one place you should check, hope this helps
