hotshot 0
Does or has anyone suffered with this problem...BTW I am new to VR6's have had a few GTi's thoughWhen the car is warm it can take as many as 10 or 15 start attempts to get the car going. Each time you turn the key the engine catches and then dies almost immediately. Eventually she'll start and continue to run. When the engine is running there is no indication that anything is wrong - plenty of power ticks over nicely etc. I do have a Clifford Concept 50x and Virtual key fitted(imobilises starter and fuel pump) but i dont think the problem is related to these as it starts fine when cold.My foot slipped off the clutch at a round about yesterday and i stalled the engine. Looked a right prat! took fully 3 mins to get the thing going again!CheersHotshot
topgunvr6 0
hi there,I havnt had this probelm before for my vr6, but did with my GTi. But it sounds like it could be a thermostat censor. Worth getting it check cos it wont get any better.Hope this helps and let me know the outcome.Darren
brett 0
i have the same sort of problem m8. mine doesnt take that long to get started though all i have to do is put a little gas on and it wont die,i was thinking it may be along the lines of warm fuel pressure regulator sometihg like that. vrPat 0
Mine also does same as Brett's. Not so much in the cold weather however, noticed it did it a lot more in the summer?!
