Engine won't start when HOT

Recommended Posts

Does or has anyone suffered with this problem...

BTW I am new to VR6's have had a few GTi's though

When the car is warm it can take as many as 10 or 15 start attempts to get the car going. Each time you turn the key the engine catches and then dies almost immediately. Eventually she'll start and continue to run. When the engine is running there is no indication that anything is wrong - plenty of power ticks over nicely etc. I do have a Clifford Concept 50x and Virtual key fitted(imobilises starter and fuel pump) but i dont think the problem is related to these as it starts fine when cold.

My foot slipped off the clutch at a round about yesterday and i stalled the engine. Looked a right prat! took fully 3 mins to get the thing going again!

Cheers
