Guest thevr6 Posted January 22, 2006 Report Share Posted January 22, 2006 Hi im fairly new on here, and was wondering if anyone can help me. i have a 92 vr6 and have over the weekend taken my sump off as i needed a new gasget! could ne one tell me if there are any torque settings that i need to put it back on with? im sorry to ask but as of yet i havnt been able to get hold of a manual of any sorts!thank you in advance.J Link to post Share on other sites

FishWick 21 Posted January 23, 2006 Report Share Posted January 23, 2006 Make sure you get a fibre gasket from VW (the revised one) as the old style rubber ones are prone to leaking. I did mine up slightly tighter than normal at 12lb/ft. Link to post Share on other sites
