hey yo'all, what happens to the towing eye when you have the front bumper smoothed?

also, i remember from the rr day at stealth, they had towing eyes that they put in everyones car, does the car come with a towing eye?

obviousely you all have 'carte blanche' to call me a numpty for asking this question but as i've never had my car towed i wouldn't know :| %-6 !dodge

numpty ;) tow eye "hook" should be in your spare wheel well with your tools and jack??? if its still there? just screws in mate behind os front fog blank, towing would definately be an issue without one!! mind if you do a proper job if you crash the front bumper wont be there anymore anyway :o;) ask cragsy! (sorry to bring that up mate!)

I never gave it a thought to be honest but in a life or death towing situation I would just take the front bumper off as its only a couple of bolts - fingers crossed it hasnt needed towing yet & wont. If it did ever need towing I'd ask for a flat bed and they could drag it on backwards :D

As Nick said - if its been pranged properley it wouldnt matter! :P

Only other problem, as we saw at Stealth is with rolling roads! Stealth is the 1st place I've seen where they attatch to the front of the car - I dont see the logic in attatching something to the front of a car which if leapt off the rollers for some reason will go all over the place where as if it was tied at the sides or the back like other places I've been there would be less chance of carnage! Im sure theres a good reason for it but it just seemed strange !shy

If they had tied the VR6 Turbo at the sides or at the back in the 1st place, people wouldnt have had to sit in it etc to stop it trying to fly off the rollers!

BUT getting back on the topic, I would just got for it! 8)
