VR6Steve 0 Posted May 3, 2004 Report Share Posted May 3, 2004 Oh, and according to the info we have seen (our mate has entered his 16v) you need to leave your car unlocked and pretty much stay with the car until the judges have been around (between 12.30 and 3.30). I think it said something to the effect if the owner is not present and the car is locked, they can refuse to judge your car and you will at least lose points. Link to post Share on other sites

I think in the standard mk3 category you'd be in with a chancecheers Justin...was thinking about it...gave the car a clean over the weekend wheels off inner arches jet washed & bumper blacked' date=' have gone over the engine bay but I need to find a place that can steam clean the lower end of the engine...problem is the front and door bottoms are covered in stone chips, the other problem is all the cats seem to congregate on my car and have skating comps at night ~ have left quiet a few scratches....didn?t know if this would affect my chances B)heres how she's come out so far ! If you can't t-cut the scratches (obviously using t-cut for metallic paint), see if you can get the car into a bodyshop for a day and have it mopped? I cant remember the name... might be anglia steam cleaning or somethingJustin, do they specialise in cleaning engines, or do they do it as a sidline to thier main busines.Do they protect the electrics etc? I had the engine bay on my gti steam cleaned and the underside steam cleaned and wax oiled, did a good jobThey did it with the engine running and wd40'd everything Link to post Share on other sites
