has anyone noticed a difference in performance using unleaded 97 rather than using 95? is it worth the extra few pence?

i use shell optimax all the time i think it makes

smoother running and a slight increase in performance

but must use it regular to notice.98 oct

i always use 97 octane super plus, shows the different bhp levels in the manual compared to normal 95 octane

I always use super it makes the engine more responsive and you get more mpg which balances out the extra cost!

i reckon super makes a difference, imho optimax used regularly sees the most improvement, but not enough for the extra money it costs.... sainsburys super is pretty good and the same price as ordinary unleaded at most other garages.... bargain!

I use it as well warren does you not run better on it cause it lelf hand drive? my mk2 G60 ran better on it cause it was imported they have higher rons out there and the sticker in the petrol cap said run on 98ron?
