Matt W 4
No left and right means for each side of the car if i understand VW explanation, nothing to do with LHD or RHD. Also checked the part numbers and it appears to be the same all the way through the years.
binliner 0
Yeah LHD and RHD are the same... sorry what I meant was is the right one the one on the battery side of the car and the left the one on the airbox side? I'll check in VW when I order it just to make sure. They shouldnt be the same for all the years... was there a different set of numbers for the one on he top and the one on the bottom in the pic? Matt W 4
No what was different was just between the VR6/GTI models and the lower trim models like CL. So the top one (no. 15) was for the CL trim cars and the lower one (no. 16) was for the VR6/GTI cars. With regards to the left the battery is on the left side of the car (sat in it looking to the front) so i guess the on for under the battery will be the left side! jezmoz 0
it's attached to the back of the bumper and underneath the wheel arch and front right hand splitter by screws and plastic rivets. Batsard to take the bumper off once fitted mines a 93 model and doesn't have one on the passenger side?? must to protect the carbon cannister and air box???
binliner 0
they did them for both sides but they tend to get ripped off
jezmoz 0
they did them for both sides but they tend to get ripped off don't see how!!! it took me ages to get mine off! and mines attached to the underside of the chassis!!
binliner 0
normally theyre only attached to the splitter and wheel arch liner... I would assume they get ripped off on occasion as most people dont still have theirs (you for instance!)
