scott8629 0
Because of a new job which is a 70 mile round trip away and an addition to the family I have decided to change my M3 Golf VR6 for a Bora TDI.A few questions for the people in the know.....Im thinking of the PD 110 or PD130 are there any differences between the two or can you just remap the 115 to the 130 power levels?Im thinking of buying a nearly new one are there any deals to be had?Anyone driven one, your thoughts/opinons?Should I be looking at any other marques of TD that would be quite quick and practial??Thanks in advance Scott

antera309 3
Yeah, go for the TDI 150. You can chip those puppies up to 200bhp plus!!!
binliner 0
any particular reason why bora instead of golf?Ive driven a Mk4 25th anniversary diesel gti and the torque is mental
acf8181 0
i prefer bora's to mkIV's...there also cheaper!
Corr28VR6 0
Must admit I'm a bit of a bora fan and am also tempted to get one as my daily driver (not instead of the VR6 though - couldn't part with it). I have not driven a diesel model, but the petrol versiosn is a really nice car to drive - feels really spacious too (though I am used to the confines of a Corrado).
andy c 0
According to a TDi expert I know, there is more than just the chip that is different on the different output engines. With a few simple mods both the PD130 and 150 get to around 190-200. But the PD115 won't go as high. The older 110 non PD engine gets to 170ish quite easily though...
VR6Steve 0
Go for any PD version. Although the 110 is a fanastic engine the PD's are more refined and quieter.
