pete8tch 0 Posted October 30, 2005 Report Share Posted October 30, 2005 the feed to the stereo is not through the ignition switch u need to find a feed that is if u want it to go of when u turn of the carthe alarm is on a battery back up so its going of because it thinks the car is being interfered with maybe look to see if it has a key to turn the unit of Link to post Share on other sites
stockers 1 Posted October 30, 2005 Author Report Share Posted October 30, 2005 cheers,all i want to do is fit my new momo wheel and boss, i know it says i need to disconnect the battery when removing the air bag ,is removing the battery a 'need' or a precaution, can i remove the steering wheel and airbag without disconnecting the battery?? jayvwvr6 0 Posted October 30, 2005 Report Share Posted October 30, 2005 adam mate,ive had my steering wheel and air bag removed without disconecting the battery,not sure it thats right but didnt have any bad effects,just make sure you dont turn ignition on while the airbag is removed or youll have you airbag light staying on all the time! cadguy77 0 Posted October 30, 2005 Report Share Posted October 30, 2005 I'll back up the stereo prob, head unit is currently wired to constant live. Need to find or run a new wire for 'ignition on' control. The wires behind the stereo or near the ignition barrel can be tested easily with a simple wired bulb test rig (basically a small bulb connected with 2 wires). Link to post Share on other sites
