Justicevr6 0
I would check to make sure all leads have a good conection and then spray some WD40 on them, that should do the trick.
Seademon 0
If your going to buy new leads its not worth buying cheap ones to save a couple of quid as I found out - paid about

TVR6 0
Nah, he's selling it. It'd be a waste of money putting a pukka set on.
Seademon 0
If your selling it then its probably not worth it - the new owner will get stung for it when the break down but I think mine were
Raf 0
i am sellimg but wouldnt like to sell it with new leads if they are going to get knackered after a few months.... pointless me spending the cash then the new owner...i may as well get proper ones in the 1st place as its always had genuine vw parts fitted off to VW it is then tomorrow.... Raf 0
Another Q for ya guys.. basically had some1 come view the car and they reckon the coil pack may be knackered.... and not the leads as i 1st thought....Anyway checking the paperwork on the car and my VR6 had a new CoilPack from Vw in Dec '02 (Done approx 30k on new coilpack) and also some leads fitted about 1 year ago also (70quid non-dealer fitted)So my question is basically how long should the coilpack last..? will it be damaged..? Any way of finding out for certain?(the original was faulty on the inside according to the receipt - hence new one fitted)Its just I want to make sure if it is the Leads OR the CoilPack...?CheersRaf. Seademon 0
I would say its more likely to be the leads - I had the same problems as you when I bought my car & thought it would be the coilpack but it was the leads - I'd be driving along and the car would misfire like a biatch! Changed the leads and everything was fine. A new coilpack is over
