Buzzark 0
I travelled all the way down to Surrey on the train(s) yesterday to complete the deal with Mr Mangold for the purchase of his very fine example of a 1997 highline. As recommended by a number of members on here and with very good reason. Clearly an enthusiastic owner, a stickler for detail and all round nice guy!It was a long day - 13 hours in total after including the manadatory M25 traffic and standstill on the M6 while they closed one side for 20 mins to put out cones. But it was definately worth it, the car (as expected) never missed a beat and although I took it easy on the way home at 80mph it just wants to take off. That's about as fast as I ever go anyhow, it's a and b road acceleration I bought it for.Driving in this morning (gently - VERY wet) still put a smile on my face. !lol
six appeal 53
Well done mate, glad to see the cars staying with the club, although I know Vince will be gutted, as I am as have worked on the car myself, and even went with Vince to look at it.Simon
Buzzark 0
I'll try and keep it in fine fettle. I'm not one for thrashing cars so it should be a happy home for it.You needn't worry.Vince is gutted, but needs must as they say.
