Steveo 0 Posted October 14, 2005 Report Share Posted October 14, 2005 Is it normal for a Lambda Probe to become de-attached from your Cat. I noticed the exhaust blowing last night, so I had a local garage put the car in the air, who pointed to something coming off of the Cat, which was about 8 - 10mm in diameter. It was blowing out air like no bodys buisness, they said they could only replace the Cat, have some one weld it up or put a bolt in there. (Okay Mr Cowboy Sir) I said, so here I am asking your advice. Am I right in saying this is where the Lambda Probe is housed, or is it some thing else.Any help would be great, cheers guys..................and girls,Steve Link to post Share on other sites

petervr6 0 Posted October 14, 2005 Report Share Posted October 14, 2005 was there a wire attached to it? was up by the front? because mk3 cats have a bit on the cat that sticks out and after a while corrodes and blows like a f""k usually just weld up the end if its the same bit were talking about. but ive never seen a lamba probe become de-attached before pic would be good if poss and if u aint decked to the floor.
