SankysVR6 1
the standard 15" are ET43 but when people get 17's they usally get a ET35. The place that i'm buying them from are saying to use ET25 but i just to make sure before handing the cash over
coullstar 2
Whats the width? Unless you are going for the Euro wide wheel look then I would stick with the 35's as they will save you a load of hassle. Personally I am going off the wide wheel low offset look at the moment. SankysVR6 1
the width i'm looking at is 7.5j
SankysVR6 1
come on somebody must know what the deal is.
coullstar 2
With 7.5in I would stick to 35. The 25's would probably stick out oo much. Do you run coilovers as they may be worried about the wheel hitting the strut when using the 35 offset? Who is advising you?
SankysVR6 1
I'm usuing a spring and shock set-up, the place that i'm looking at buying the wheels from are www.bodystyleuk.co.uk how have sugested the et25 offset.
coullstar 2
Never heard of them. Still think 35 is best. See this thread, 2nd guy down has 35 offset so that look ok.http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?81264

binliner 0
my 7.5" TT wheels are ET35... 25 would rub
SankysVR6 1
spoke to styledynamix last night and they also recommended et25, they sad the 35 would rub on the disc. All i want to do is get some 16" Brock B2's that will fit straight on with out spacers or adaptors. I'm not going for a euro look or anything like that. Just simple 16"x 71/2J wheels all round.Help Please as the money is burning a hole in my pocket.
matth76 1
I'm also interested in what the ET offset actually means? Does ET25 mean it will be closer to the brake disk or stick out more towards the wheel arch than an ET offset of 35?
francisjonno 2
Roughly speaking the the smaller the offset the further the wheel will stick out the arch see:http://dsm.aenewton.com/wheel_offset.htm
dubloke 4
et is the distance measured from the mounting face of the wheel, to the inner lip of the rim. like jonno said, the lower the et, the closer the wheels sits to the hub, the further out it sticks from the arch!
