dubloke 4
if you use varying grades of wet and dry, or,if you're carefull, a detail sander, you can de-texture the strips yourself! then using plastic primer you can get a smooth surface to put your top coat colour on! tkae your time and it will have the desired effect! p1vsg 0
would you know what grade wet and dry to use?another tip i've been given is to use plastic primer filler and that would give the desired effect then paint and lacqure.lets just say id like a second opinion of this
dubloke 4
you start with coarse wet and dry and work down to fine, so a combined pack would be sufficient. start with summat like 80 to remove the grain then work down to 2400. use lots of water too! plastic filler primer is fine to use once you've smoothed it down, but to spray it directly onto the textured surface would require so much paint, that you'll have probs with drying and it will prob sink anyway and look poo! rubbing it down, though time consuming, is the best option imo!
