Dekerf1996 27
Just had my VR towed home. 95 N reg HighlineWas driving car along and it suddenly lost power and stalled. Now just sounds like it is ticking over but nothing. RAC said that it there was no spark. I am thinking it is the coil pack that has gone??? Any ideas and likely cost to fix???CheersMark
Charged vr6 0
ticking in the sense the car doesn't start ? or it churns and doesn't start ?i had a problem when out the blue it wouldn't start and i could hear a ticking noise like a machine gun, thought it was the starter motor but ended up being the battery. Voltage on the batter was showing 12.5 and then dropped to 11.5 jus changed the battery car sorted starts.(check the coil pack there is a guide i think)

sijo 0
Is it the square coil pack ? I thought mine had gone last year, so I replaced it, only to find out the garage had gapped my plugs incorrectly !!! however if there's no spark, then you'll have t replace. around 50-60 quid.
