chalkyh 10
I'm sure that's the lower support for the selector tower shaft, item 25, doesn't show a seal on the diagram though but thought there was an 'O' ring on it, a red one 25mm or so.... but stand corrected on that - it's sealed with the 'sealing paste' AMV18820003. There's certainly an 'O'ring on each of the bolted tabs by it, they're 14mm dia and on the diagram as no 27. Edited June 10, 2020 by chalkyh extra infos

Tommy Reed 1
Do think it would course problems to drop this out to reseal it? Don’t want it to move anything out of line.
chalkyh 10
Can't see it causing a problem, you will need to drain the oil and I'd put the gearlever into a forward plane (like any of 1st, 3rd, 5th gears) so it lifts the shaft 8 up a little. I can't guarantee any of the selector levers will drop - they shouldn't but you never know. Alternatively, just release the bolts a few threads, good solvent clean and get some sealer in there - with the oil drained.
