If any of you are are into race sims, LFS S2 has just been released

This sim has been in development for 'kin ages and is the dogz bollox

Car physics were excellent in S1 and now the 3 programmer team have improved it even more so for S2 and have also introduced damage and tyre wear

There's a free multiplayer demo and a full race license is only

Sorry mate i don't know as i haven't tried the training or single player in the S2 demo, i did however briefly race the demo online but bought a license straight away as i used to race S1 about a 6 months ago and enjoyed it then...

I got S2 unlocked last night and had a burn, guys i'm telling you this... if you are a speed freak and have the computer hardware and either don't want to take your VR out on the track or just aren't into road racing like me, S2 is awesome alternative, it is now a serious sim for real racers...

VR6Rob - you are right, the key to being really quick in LFS is in the setup and being smooth, like me if you are not into tweaking your setup then most LFS club members will send you their set in game (if you ask nicely), just look at who's laying down seriously hot laps at the end of a race and ask them to send it, press the 'n' key and you'll see it flash next to their name, save it, pit, select the set and you're away, you may have to try a couple to find one that suits your driving style but to be honest the makers have made some great sets for S2 and as it's such a new release at the moment it's all down to driver skill as there really aren't many more sets currently available, good luck mate...

Hello mate, i'm not quite sure why you can't get a car but here's some instructions...

Go to single player and then click go? (just tested it on my work PC, never been run on it before so my race points from S1 make no difference that i was thinking could have been the problem)

You can also goto single player and then select garage where you can then select the one of three cars you can choose from in the demo version. You can then add some A.I. drivers to the race if you want and perhaps re-add youself if you've taken yourself out by mistake.

If you want to go straight online, join a race server in mulitiplayer, hit escape then pits or garage (can't remember) and then click car, select a car and click ok, ok again and you should be back to the track, hit escape then join if you don't find yourself sitting in your car in the pit lane.

The demo servers are often full of learners and wreckers so it can get a bit messy! If you do decide to buy a license, in the unlocked version you'll see around 300 servers and you will find some very high quality races where people actually use their brakes instead of other cars! :)

You'll really need to get a decent wheel and pedals if you want to experience the full quality of the sim but you will see how good it is without one, good luck...
