shail 0
Anyone used / seen 99RON super unleaded at Tesco? Apparently cheaper than Shell Optimax at 98RON. As Tesco say ...."every little helps"

Col_M 0
Is the Tescos 99ron still only available in a few stores nationwide? last time i checked these were the places it was available,99 OCTANE STORES:Beford 1,Cheshunt Extra,Crawley Hazelwick,Gallions Reach Extra,Gillingham Kent,Lakeside Extra,Ramsgate Manston,Salisbury 2,Sandhurst Extra,Sevenoaks Riverhead,Stevenage Extra,Winchester.Does it have the cleaning additives that Optimax and Ultimate have? that is the only reason i use them. I doubt i'd see much of a difference going from a 95ron to a high octane fuel such as Tescos 99ron because i'm running a standard VR6. I've always been under the impression that unless you have a high compression ratio or a forced induction engine there isn't much need for high octane fuel, you're not likely to have pinking issues with a standard engine using 95ron, the ron number after all is only the fuel's resistance to detonating due to pressure/heat.So unless the Tescos 99ron fuel has cleaning additives i don't think i'll be getting any
