Do I need a vibratechnic engine mount?

vibratechnic are one of the best front mounts you can get, makes a big difference and reduces engine movement when pulling off.

Standard mounts are a honey comb style and causes a lot of engine movement - I would not expect any cabin vibration from just a front mount - you would get more of an increased vibration when a rear mount is fitted too.

vibratechnic are not a solid mount and allows for small movement...

I would 100% keep the front mount.

Here's the sales blurb:

The Golf front mount reacts a large proportion of the accelaration and overrun torque and has to carry a proportion of the powertrain weight. The original VW mount was always going to be a compromise particularly with the extra weight and torque of this lovely Vee engine! This Vibra-Technics design is a direct replacement for the original but allows only a fraction of the engine movement. Therefore there is none of the engine inertia forces throwing the engine back and forwards under throttle on and off conditions. The car has a much 'Tighter' feel and exhaust manifolds are not subject to high bending stress. In addition the level of noise and vibration transmitted to the cabin is not greatly increased. It also gives vastly superior comfort and isolation from engine vibration over inferior aftermarket urethane mounts.
