I'd be a bit wary plugging it back in with the battery connected as if some how a spark set it off, that would bloody hurt!! Link to post Share on other sites

Remember the airbag is a small explosive device so mess with it at your own risk!Also by disconnecting the battery there is less chance of you getting a airbag warning light upon refitting! dubloke 4 Posted June 15, 2005 Report Share Posted June 15, 2005 Also by disconnecting the battery there is less chance of you getting a airbag warning light upon refitting! the airbag warning light will come on no matter if you disconnect the battery, cross your legs or play hide and seek if replacing with an aftermarket wheel. unless you use a suitable resistor in place of the airbag one or you take the bulb out, which will be an mot failure next time round! good luck!
