Cooz93 66
Hi guys. Just gave my Golf a visit after many weeks of not paying it any attention and discovered some mould in the interior. Mainly on door cards and a few plastic bits as seats have been removed. Just wondering what people have done to prevent the spread of mould when a car is being stored? Also bst to clean mould off? I was thinking on using big silica gel packets to remove moisture from the air?Any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated!
VR6Pete 1,455
Yes always an issue this time of the year if storing. Even if I a garage!!!Various things to try but use silica gel as a start. You can get little plug in fans etc.. To help dry interior out.Best use a vax to give interior a good clean. Coming in contact with mould is never a good thing
Cooz93 66
Thankfully I removed the seats before storing it. Only noticeable on the door cards right now, just a little worried about it developing behind the dash or something. Will give the silica packs a go and see if that helps! VR6Pete 1,455
Worth while sticking a fan heater and giving it a blast for a couple of hours from time to time to get everything dry. If you have loads of moisture in there now the silica bags won't be as effective
