bleakerz15 0
My vr has been over fuelling lately running rich and lumpy. Plugged into vagcom and it come up error code for crank sensor. So ordered one using my number plate number.Had a few problems with parts for my car as it's a 95 plate everything is obd1 apart from the obd2 16pin plug so I think it was built half way though the change.I removed the sensor too find a metal sensor with the oring in a recess in the block, the new plastic sensor has an oring on the plastic and does not seem too fit. Anyone had this problem,Thanks in advance
Jimjon 28
Is it this sensor? Am just refitting mine and the black plastic ring looked past it so been to VW to order a new one and the part that came was a rubber O-ring seal. Never seen a plastic sensor.
bleakerz15 0
The sensor I removed was like that one, the new one I had from vw was plastic. But does not seem to fit as there is a rubber on the sensor and one in the engine recess.
cactusjackslade 146
You should only need one rubber o ring. Sounds like your describing the o ring from the old sensor has just stuck to block. Remove old rubber from block and install new sensor with the new o ring attached to it....
