sharki 2 Posted July 23, 2014 Report Share Posted July 23, 2014 Right ive been searching to find out which spark plugs you guys run on your vr but its not leading me anywere. The only mod the engine has is a 2.9 inlet and a lightened flywheel i will be slapping on an airfilter or smooth & drill (butcher) the air box in a few weeks, just purely for noise more BHP is a bonus but that most likely WONT happen. I love hearing my vr on full throttle as everyone else does on this forum. The NGK website states i need BKR5EKU or BKR5EKUP. I take it as the P stands for platinum? Also a few people on here mentioned about the number in the model number of the spark plug about it being a colder spark plug??? So any advise would be greatly appreciated. Lukey. 381 Posted July 23, 2014 Report Share Posted July 23, 2014 BKR5E are enough if you're running stock, they are copper instead of platinum but a set costs about £14. Platinum are supposed to last for 40k but that's so long, change the copper ones at 20k and it's still cheaper than a set of platinums. Link to post Share on other sites

Lukey. 381 Posted July 26, 2014 Report Share Posted July 26, 2014 I'm not saying that there is on a stock engine, but if you wanted to run a colder plug you would need the 6 code, any colder and you're going into FI territory to run as cold a plug as that. Link to post Share on other sites
