do later vr6 have a glove box light?

ive got a 1997 golf vr6 with passenger air bag and lower glove box but it hasnt got or anywhere to place a glove box light so when its dark you cant see nothing,do others have this or is it just mine as it seems wierd not to have one as its got all the other gadgets?

My interior is from a 2001 cabrio and that doesn't have a glovebox light either, so I guess not.

Shouldn't be too much trouble to fit one though.

No, my 97 doesn't. My 94 GTI did however! TBH, the glovebox in the VR is pretty useless anyway - about a quarter of the size of the GTI one, but that's the price you pay for a passenger airbag and air con!

Not got one in my '97 Vr either but as MrBen said it aint worth having a glove box the size it is

well mine might have a blue dash but it's got a glovebox light !!

oh and it's really useful when it's dark and you need something from your glovebox.. %-6

makes up for the fact that i don't have a working interior or boot light

It depends on which glovebox you have determines on whether you have the light or not.

If you have no passenger airbag and the 'upper' glove box then it should have a light. If not it can be retro fitted quite easily!

If you have a passenger airbag and the 'lower' glovebox then it will not have a light. I have not seen one Golf 3 yet with a lower glovebox that has the light.

So i think that should clear up the glovebox light issue! 8o)
