Im running 10w40 Valvoline and on motorways I'm getting 104 degrees? This is since its first oil change with me don't know what oil it was running before but hottest I saw it before was 98 and that was spirited driving. Dont feel like I trust giving it a hoof in its current oil issues. Link to post Share on other sites

Sump_slammer 23 Posted February 2, 2014 Author Report Share Posted February 2, 2014 Well I re-checked my level when it was stone cold ran it up to 96 then gave at a heavey right foot then it only climed to 106 so must have been a different grade oil or just in need of a oil change. Dont feel like I trust giving it a hoof in its current oil issues.My VR never went higher than 98 mate.Was using Valvoline 10/60 Racing Oil.+ Early Opening Thermostat.My mate couldnt believe it, so he done the same as me and got same figures.
