ad_coupe 2
Hi, Has anyone changed their steering arms on their MK3 Golf VR6. I have a bent arm I found out when I went to have my tracking done, and since fitting the coilovers its really noticeable and now drives bloody terible, lol. Is it an easy job? And do you need any special tools? CheersAD
Reaperx 181
Haven't fitted one to a golf yet but done quite a few over the years on various cars and vans. Not that hard to do, take off track rod end remove boot where arm meets the rack. Then unscrew the arm at the ball joint. As for specialist tools I find a good pair of stilsons or monkey wrench whatever you want to call it to get a good grip of the end of the arm as it can be quite tight and awkward to get at. A little tip is to lock the steering and push the rack out to get better access. Hopes this helps I'm useless at trying to explain something via text ad_coupe
