Marneus 78
I'm in the process of tinting my front figs & indicators but the drivers side fog light plug in my golf is stuck. I've tried pulling the fog light out then unplugging it, I've tried unplugging it while it's still fastened in the bumper (all it does is pull the bumper in, the plug itself never even budges)I'm getting a little annoyed with it as there's no real room to grab & pull The passenger one came straight out.Does anyone have any tips on freeing it cos I'm getting to the point where I'm just going to cut it off! Lukey. 381
You should be able to pry the metal spring off the clip with a screwdriver, it should then come striaght off, then put the spring clip back on when refitting.
Marneus 78
Cool. Cheers Lukey I'll have a go at that.
CALICO 130
You should be able to see it and disconnect from inside the engine bay.
Marneus 78
I could see it & grab/pull it but it wouldn't budge. Took the metal spring off this aft & it came straight apart. I now have nice yellow fogs
Lukey. 381
You get this all the time with these style plug connectors, they end up only releasing one side.
Daverse 175
Cold and numb fingers dont help in this weather! Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
Marneus 78
The cold really doesn't help. Although the numbing effect when I sliced the back of my hand on one of the metal clips when trying to pull the plug apart was welcome lol
Lukey. 381
Don't you love it when that happens, slip and end up with a tool sticking out of your hand.
Marneus 78
Yeah, but it's worse when it's a finger tip that gets sliced cos then whenever you grab owt it makes you jump!
Lukey. 381
And it's always your left hand cos the tool is always in your right.
