bigirv100 0
Hi,I've just found this forum while trying to change my brake discs / pads. I came to start the job only to find I have the incorrect wheel brace as the spanner is clearly the wrong size. I bought a 22mm brace off eBay and found I can't get the end over the nut as it jams on the wheel!!! The wheels are the standard BBS VR6 alloys. Is there a certain make of wheel brace which is thin enough to fit or some sort of special tool?!Thanks for your help,John.
Lukey. 381
Have you tried just a long socket on a breaker bar? Plus don't know why yours are 22, the standard size is 17.
bigirv100 0
I haven't tried a socket as with the brace not fitting I thought that perhaps there's a special tool - if not I'll try a socket. They definately measure to be 22mm on mine?
Ickyketseddie 89
Wheel brace in the boot with the spare wheel? Can't see how they're 22mm, they don't have covers on or anything do they? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
andymk312v 15
17mm deep socket and a breaker bar.Definitely not 22mm.
daveyboy 897
As Andy said. There definitely not 22mm. There 17mm across the flats of the bolt. Maybe 22mm from corner to corner but that isn't how you measure bolts/nutsSent from my LT26i using Tapatalk
Reaperx 181
As said they are 17mm with the covers on they may be 22mm.
