Humm 0
The lack of throttle response and the numb feel you get from the throttle! not good for heel and toe.
craggsy 91
Lack of response?.... lol I have no problems with throttle response in my 32.
michael5556 247
I thought it was more responsive then the cable?
Humm 0
Well something i have never witnessed is a fly by wire system as responsive as cable..... Maybe just a personal thing...
Lukey. 381
I feel this too, always had much more a sense of urgency in cars that had cable throttles, even though I have seen that they react just as quickly.
bentheboffin 1
if anything dbw throttles are over responsive, in the wet in my mk2 it feels like a on off switch
Humm 0
Thats just the throttle map not being progressive enough, get a linear throttle map on there will feel much better!
FishWick 21
DBW throttles are full bore, where as the cable ones are ramped on the Golf and 2 stage opening on the Corrado (full bore also). In other words, for the same pedal movement, the DBW throttles will let more air through, so are more mechanically 'responsive'.24Vs are more responsive anyway, even without the DBW throttle. Better flowing head and all that.In the case of the R32, high ignition advance at light throttle, high compression and an over sized throttle make it stupidly responsive! Vw_owner 1
nothing gay about dbw pedal, mine feels perfect! no lag and not to responsive, OP the engine is a straight swap apart from the electrics and exhaust down pipe, take a look at my thread on here in the corrado section for what needs to be done also check out the 24v thread on the corrado forum,
