jamescarter1981 0
I want to upgrade the brakes on my golf vr. The Leon Cupra R has a nice set of 4 pots, which i think would work well, but will they fit?Alternatively, where can i get a set of 4 pots from, i haven't got a clue who'd make them. jamescarter1981 0
Spoke to Stealth and if anyone is interested, the brakes from the TT can be fitted to the VR6 with no hassle, 312MM discs and calipers. Supplied by a place near Leamington for £200 inc VAT, which is good, but you need min 16" wheels too.
acf8181 0
i doubt they fit under most 16"s tbh.

acf8181 0
yeah, but they're 312mm (or maybe even 288 on 150bhp) single pots.....the leon cupra r has 330mm 4 pots.[ Edited Sat Apr 09 2005, 12:35AM ]
MK2R32 0
I'd go for the TT brakes if I had a VR and was looking for an upgrade, the brembo's are a nightmare to find any nice wheels that fit. Bill at badger5 is the main man to speak to regarding brembo's, think he's the one who's suppling most of the VW tuners with the conversion kits.If you have a look on www.seatcupra.net there is alot of chat on the forum about wheel & offsets that fit over the brembo's. Well worth checking out.Knowing what i know now, I wouldn't buy another set of Brembo's. AP racing and Wilwood calipers are a much more compact caliper which don't stick out anywhere near as much toward the inside of the wheel as the Brembo's. So you don't have to mess about with different offsets and spacers to get wheels to fit.
jamescarter1981 0
I've done some research, and the TT brakes is where i'm going. Can get the calipers, discs and pads for £200, just need some 16's to fit them under!
