Road trip for a new project.

Recommended Posts

Ok, just checking my emails etc after a 500 mile round trip from stockton on tees, to chelmsford in essex. you want to know how the VRT held up? Great, a little annoying as it leaks boost at part throttle so you have to live with a little hissing noise. a major bad point though. i spent over £120 on petrol alone, ha ha. and managed to get my credit card cancelled as i can only get £20 a time in my tank due to a leak, so i had transactions all over the country, lol.

it was still a fun trip out for me and my bro, as we dont spend much time chilling out anymore, and unfortunately the cabrio i went to see wasnt up to much so im on the look out for another. but other than spending loads of money for nothing it was ok.

i must get it tuned properly before the trip to GTI inters as i cant afford another £100+ petrol bill, lol.

well as it stands its only cost me £2500 tops, incliding buying a load of new stuff like dump valves and stuff that i repaced in stead of using the stiff in the kit.

and i would do it again, just either put it in a lhd or figure something out with the standard brakes, rather than put the remote servo in. thats why im getting a new car, to have a second go at it. really i just want the wind in my hair, lol.

i have no figures yet as im just running on a crappy base map. ive got myself some 3.0l pistons and a whole rebuild on the go this month, hoping to have it ready for inters so i can get it on the stand on the sat if theres space, and throw it down the strip.

im just kinda pissed about the £120 petrol and i didnt even buy the car i looked at, lol. ill keep everyone updated on the rebuild when i start.
