jec 0
Obd1 in a mk2, just driving along and the temp, revs, speedo and fuel gauges dropped to zero and the LCD readouts go blank - like the clocks have been unplugged. First few times it happened for a few seconds at a time, but on the last 30 mile run it is happening much more frequently and a few times The whole clocks were blank/zero for a few minutes. Didn't seem to affect the engine running though.I've tried unplugging the clocks and the car still runs (actually unplugged them to make sure they were plugged in properly but that connector is very well seated).I've looked at the earth strip with the fuse box and all the earths seem to be attached properlyAnyone got any suggestions? Thanks in advance! Miggs2002 0
it does sound to be an earthing issue, try taking all earths off, get some sandpaper and clean the faces of each part that is going to be toucking so there is perfect contact between them all, even if it has been removed and re fitted without cleaning it can make some serious issues pop up
