adamcollings 0
This may seem veeeeery stupid, and it probably is, but sometimes I have a real problem getting my VR to actually start. And I don't mean a problem with the starter or engine.Sometimes when I turn the key, jack shit happens. The ignition comes on, lots of lights etc, but she doesn't start. And then after say 5 minutes fumbling around on the drive or in a car park (and looking like a car thief), the magic happens and that lovely purr kicks in.I have a Logic 900 alarm and immobiliser, is there anything obvious I'm doing wrong? I try re-arming and disarming the alarm, but I am yet to find any pattern or trick to starting her consistently. I've only had her since Wednesday so maybe I'm just not used to it. legvw 0
It could be a faulty ignition switch, or a fault with your alarm.
MJ Vr6 79
As Paul said mate, could be your ignition switch or reader coil playin up.I had a similar problem with my car, drove it, switched it off, then it wouldnt wanna re-start, say for instance I had to put fuel in!! Had to wait for 10-15 min, then it'd re-start.Problem was Immobilser on Clifford.Initially thought was Ign.Switch, Wasnt! Then reader coil-Wasnt! So then had the alarm checked.
