russj249 2
Sounds like a sticky starter.. Put it in first gear, and get someone to give the car a push while you try to start it, sounds like the solenoid is working, but the motor has gone.
russj249 2
Obviously the car will drive forwards like you're bump starting it, so be careful
BigDaddy 0
i know the cars been sitting around for a while and its got the good battery but is there enough juice left in it to turn it over? try the starter motor out of red golf and see if it is so u can be sure it is the starter
rsweeney 40
jump starting eliminates a prob with battery and starters are different between autos and manuals
