VR6 Owners Club Mega meet 2012 Information.

This years VR6 Owner Club Rally will be held on the 4th and 5th August, the show is going to be held over 2 days, Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th August. It is going to be held at Billing Aquadrome Holiday Park http://www.billingaquadrome.com/. As always there will be camping over the weekend, Friday night and Saturday night if you wish to make a weekend of it, or if you can only make it for one day then there is no reason not to.

Rally rate £15 for non electric and £25 for electric. Per Pitch Per Night (if booked 7 days in advance)

To get the rally rate bookings must be made 7 days in advance otherwise standard tariff will apply. There is a minimum of a 2 night booking to get the rally rate.

A full weekend, showcasing beautiful cars and bikes from all eras. Many Car and Bike clubs

will exhibit at the show, to promote their club, and to secure new members. It‟s a great

opportunity to meet friends old and new, whilst presenting some truly wonder-full cars and

bikes. A "must attend" event for anyone who loves classic vehicles with a huge number of

trade stands, auto-jumble and products and services to keep your cars and bikes in pristine

condition.

The first year at Billing - This promises to be a huge event! Public admission to the park is subject to admission fees. Rates as below;

Admission Rates Per Person, Per Day

Adults: £15

Children (7-15): £7

Under 6: FREE

Family entry (2A & 2C): £35

Billing is a great venue for children, teenagers and adults alike and we will be sharing the park with other car clubs and a spectacular balloon festival so there will be lots to see and do. Have a look at the range of activities and see what takes your fancy so come for the whole weekend or just the main show day?

Billing Aquadrome is easy to access from the M1 so we are hoping VR6 Owners will come from North, South, East and West, we'd like to make this National Meet the biggest and best ever , this will be the fourth year for this National event so please come along and meet us and your fellow club members, we all have our passion for our VR's in common and are a friendly bunch, we look forward to seeing you all - both new and old faces!

There will be a whole host of events happening to include :-

1. Show and Shine event.

2. VR6 OC Go Karting show down.

3. Tug of War.

4. Technical advice with full VAG COM.

5. Evening Movies.

6. Winner takes all fastest lap around the Nurburging on PS2 ..... or alike.

7. BBQ on Saturday afternoon. Run By all the Mods ...

More activities will be added though the coming months so keep your eyes on the thread.

Show and Shine Event.

Categories to include :-

1. Best standard VR6,

2. Best modified VR6,

3. Best Mk4/5 V6/R32, standard or modified

4. Best converted VR6 - Mk1, Mk2 etc etc.

Then a best of show from the 4 winners.

5. Best in show 2012.

Show & Shine Entry Requirements

A £2 per category entry fee, payable on the day, to help cover the cost of the trophies will be required and all are welcome to enter. I.E if you wish to enter category 1 then that`s £2 or enter categories 2 and 5 then that would be £4 etc. etc.

Cars can be in the Show and Shine area on Saturday from 8.00 am (if you are awake) - till the late afternoon, this will allow for a good day for you to get the car cleaned and be able to join in the rest of the days activities. Voting will start at 3.30pm and finish at 4.30pm. Winners and trophies will be announced at 10.00am on Sunday.

Your Vehicle Reg or forum name must be displayed to help with voting. Club members in attendance that day will vote, vehicle information cards are allowed to identify any subtle modifications, you cannot vote for yourself and only one voting slip per person will handed out, children are also included in the voting.

Our definition of "standard" is completely standard as in from factory or OEM mods are fine. So like highline leather in a normal VR is fine and things like RX2s are OK as they were an option, exhaust, air filter and lowered suspension and are also included. Anything other than that like Coloured HT leads, Hidden HT leads, polished items in the engine bay will be classed as modified.

Fastest VR6 or V6 powered car

Fastest Forced , Turbo or supercharged (including N/A with NOS) 2 Wheel Drive.

Fastest Forced , Turbo or supercharged (including N/A with NOS) 4 Wheel Drive.

Fastest Normally Aspirated (N/A) 2 Wheel Drive.

Fastest Normally Aspirated (N/A) 4 Wheel Drive.

Timing slips will need to be handed in to a Moderator before 9.00 am Sunday. Winners and trophies will be announced at 10.00am on Sunday.

VR6OC Go Karting show down.

Now we know this didnt happen last year due to Billing being Very Very busy with other major events on the day but, this has been a great success at every National Meet held at Billing and has provided some great photos, talking points and shown up some true racing skills or lack of skills. Not too many rules to this just be sensible and safe - it is a non contact sport.... apparently! Crash helmets are supplied but you can bring your own if you have one, gloves are NOT supplied.

There are fast kart's for the adults and kiddy kart's for the kiddies so fun for all the family. So why give it a go never know you may be the fastest out there.....

Tug of War.

Two teams at each end of the rope and pull! We'll try to even out the numbers depending on who turns up on the day. This will take place depending on numbers attending the event.

There will be 3 rounds.

1. Boys V Girls.

2. North V South.

3. Owners of Forced VR6s V Owners of N/A VR6s.

Big screen entertainment

Big screen entertainment is the Home made films (not that kind), photo slide shows and music visualisations.

'A virtual Nordschleife challange'

The virtual Nordschleife challange where the fastest lap wins. One car will be raced picked by the mods, so its all down to skill and judgement or just how much you can push your virtual car. All ages welcome.

BBQ and evening drinks

There will be a late afternoon early evening BBQ on the Saturday and everyone is welcome all we will be asking for a set contribution of £3 per person for this to cover the food cost and you will be served by your very own moderator team. Under 15s eat free.
