VeedubVR 0
Since swapping the wheels over to the standard VR wheels the car feels very twitchy to drive especially at motorway speeds. the slightest bend in the road feels like the back end is going to kick outThe tyres are all at the correct pressure and have plenty of tread on them. Granted the rear tyres are the best of brands....what do you think could be the problem?thanks
bungy 2
Hows the camber and toe on your wheels? Either or both can really affect things.
VeedubVR 0
running -2.1 up front and -1 degree of camber out back. But the back is factory. Toe... im not sure tbh last time it was checked was a few month ago
Ben Seabrook 4
rear axle bushes would be my guess mate
legvw 0
Could be poor tracking and/or worn bushes.
VeedubVR 0
if it were poor tracking wouldnt the front end be sliding all over? Ill have to check bushes. If they need replacing is it best to go OEM or go for powerflex?thanks
bungy 2
Rear beam bushes will affect the rear toe in/out and are worth replacing with poly-bushes.
VeedubVR 0
been doing a searching on here and the car is all the way down on coilies so its already a stiff ride which some people have said o affect if its really lowbest to buy from powerflex direct?not going to attempt to fit these myself, getting a garage ot do it, after the trouble my mate had with his solid bushes
legvw 0
Having a lowered car will put a lot of strain on standard bushes, powerflex are a good option, I've always used there bushes. If you need someone to fit, maybe speak to Tony?

Ben Seabrook 4
as said mate well worth changing them especially on lowered cars and not that much difference in reports I have read over normal v powerflex on these particular bushes but for the little bit extra cash they prob are worth it
