cpfcvr6 6 Posted September 26, 2011 Report Share Posted September 26, 2011 golf vr6 has a missfire every now and then, can be very jumpy (kangaroos) in 1st and 2nd gear sometimes. it only does it every now and then, can will drive fine most of the time and im getting 26.06 MPG varied driving!its running dizzy and i have had brand new - sparks, leads, dizzy, rotor arm, air filter. checked the sparks and leads today and all looked fine, removed leads with the right tool etc... cleaned the MAF.any ideas what it can be as im a bit stuck???? As soon as this problem happens, switch off, Unplug the MAF, start drive for around 15min, and see if problem persists.. As this jerk has happened to my mates mk2 VR, Cause of problem was MAF.
