shinobi 0 Posted February 26, 2005 Report Share Posted February 26, 2005 went to yaash motorsport to get a quote on color coding my bumpers and side strips, got a very high quote as they said they need to smooth down the plastic bits so the paint dont flake off, so i was wondering whether color coded CL bumpers would fit a vr? and has anyone tried it? stu h 0 Posted February 26, 2005 Report Share Posted February 26, 2005 yep, they will fit. ring round some vw breakers for prices on bumpers -should be about £40 each for fully colour coded ones. you might be able to get some the same colour as your car or just get them painted up. same with the side strips Link to post Share on other sites
acf8181 0 Posted February 26, 2005 Report Share Posted February 26, 2005 yeah, you'll get a better finish if you use proper colour coded bumpers. will be a lot cheaper as well if you can find them the same colour as your car.are actually three types of bumper that vw sell....fully textured (non-painted), half textured (half painted, gti and early vr6), and fully smooth (fully painted, for late vr6)...easier to get the correct ones to start with.
