Vw_owner 1
to be fair its the clearcoat thats the important one, im no pro but as long as its all even and theres no colour/primer showing from underneith you should be ok at 2coats, heres some of my handy work over the past 2months of learning to spray with a compressorfrom this tired old bumperunfortunatly as i was sanding out the orange peel i went abit to much on the edge and it went through the lacqour so ive got to re lacqour the whole thing again! a prety tough lesson learnt! but onced re lacqoured it should turn out even better! just need the weather to clear up to have another bash. bungy 2
I'd go for 2 primer, 2 colour and 2-3 laquer. But and there is always a but. You'll need to balance it to match the age and condition of the rest of the paint and that takes skill that a lot of professional painters can't manage.
