vwvr6_mk2 0
Hi everyone, ive got a little problem, ive got a mk2 golf sat in my bodyshop, its had a VR6 conversion done with an early OBD1 Dizzy engine, car ran perfectly prior to stripping for the respray, i removed all the engine wiring from fusebox and labled everything to make sure that it would all be replaced as it came apart..anyways putting the car back together for GTI international and went to start it, no start, couldnt hear the fuel pump priming when you turn the key on, so checked the relay was in, and it was No.80 so got a jumper wire and wired the pump on all the time, so its not fuel, so tried cranking again, now with the pump on, still nothing, removed the king lead from the dizzy and placed it onto the cam cover and cranked it over again, when you first turn the key to positon 1 it sparks, just once, then continue onto position 2 (engine now turning over on starter motor) and no spark, turn the key back to position 1 and between it turning the engine on the starter to returning the key to position 1 it sparks again, just once.does anyone have any suggestions as to what might cause this? vwvr6_mk2 0
right, small update, tried to measure the resistance on the Crank pos sensor, nothing, so thought id check the same thing on my s2 crank position sensors and nothing.... weird! also i checked the voltage at the crank position sensor connector (loom side) and theres just 0.5V with the ignition on??fitted another coil to the car today, and when you turn the ignition on it doesnt spark anymore, still no spark on cranking and no spark when i turn the key off (like it did with the other coil)
p0u1 14
if your coil lead in dameged (i got a spare) coud be stoping the the spark from going anywhere, also your injectors are they pluged in, othere than that you need your maf lamba and crank sensors for it to run as wel as lots more but i think there the only ones stoping it from starting
