Fitting new leathers

Recommended Posts

if you get leather fgrom another mk3 golf its a simple job changing them over

If theyre heated then you will need the wiring loom... its a pain in the arse to fit, not because its technically difficult but because you have to take half the dash apart to run the wiring!

£200 is a very good price for Mk3 leathers with door cards. These regularly sell for £500-£600 on eBay and the forums. Go for it!

Removing/Fitting the seats themselves is a doddle. Door cars are not much harder. No more than an hour and a half to fit the lot, I'd say.

Add another 2-3 hours for fitting the heated seats loom and switch. It's not a difficult job, it's just that lots of dashboard trim has to come off first. As far as connecting up the loom goes, I've had a lot of questions about this. See this thread for assistance here.

I have a lot of experience with Mk3 interiors (see here) so let me know if there's anything you're not sure about.
