bazz780 0 Posted February 21, 2005 Report Share Posted February 21, 2005 hey guys, how you all doing?after selling the vr6 and clearing a load of debts funds permit me to try something new, dont get me wrong, a mk3 vr6 is the ultimate car but to be honest i couldnt stand the niggly lil problems on a car i spent soo much money on just wernt feasible.i am going to view a mk4 1.8T tomorrow and would like to know if there is anything in paticular i should look out for?any ideas?cheers Link to post Share on other sites

acf8181 0 Posted February 21, 2005 Report Share Posted February 21, 2005 well, its good and bad.....its can be tuned mega easily and cheaply, a susp kit should sort the handling....but it sounds awful, isn't that smooth, and when tuned will drink fuel (and thats comparing with a vr6). don't forget you can get a vr6 (the 24v) in a mkIV bodyshape as well.pick the engine that suits you best i'd say. badboyV6 4 Posted February 21, 2005 Report Share Posted February 21, 2005 mk3 annin summed it up perfectly! :-) they can be tuned though but standard they are soooo boring. a 4 pot can still sound interesting but that lump just has no character. Why not try and get an aniversary? as it came with 180/190 BHP? And possibly the same forged pistons etc used in the cupra r?
