Filled the car with BP Ultimate(82.0p) before heading off and reset the MFI (pos.2). Checked the MFI when I got back and the data was:Driving Time: 2hrs 53minsDistance driven: 120milesAverage Speed: 42mphAverage Fuel Consumption: 33.9mpgI was using Optimax, switched to Shell normal unleaded, about 3 months ago, and didn't really notice any difference, only the price). I recently switched to BP Ultimate, this is the third time I have filled and feel the car runs better and have noticed a marked improvment in throttle response, but am unsure whether fuel consumption is any better.Anyone else been using Ultimate, what do you think? :? VR6Pete 1,455 Posted March 6, 2004 Report Share Posted March 6, 2004 Ive used nothing but ultima ever since i first filled her up, I tried optimax but i didnt notice any difference with optimax in. but my car pulls really hard id definatly say that the VR's run better on this fuel! tommy 0 Posted March 6, 2004 Report Share Posted March 6, 2004 I don't rate bp ultima myself...ive used it before but it didn?t seem to make any difference.....I always use optimax.......ultima is ron 97 or super unleaded with some cleaning agents...optimax is ron 98....think it just comes down to personal preference!!!!
